Mobile Legends is a game that revolves around different attributes that define the power of a hero. Understanding these attributes is crucial for players to create effective strategies and win battles. Here are some of the key game attributes in Mobile Legends:

Health Point (HP)
The amount of health a hero has. The hero dies when their HP reaches zero. Players can increase the HP of their hero by buying items. It is important to keep an eye on the HP of your hero during battles and use healing abilities or items when necessary.

Mana Point (MP)
The power of a hero to cast skill abilities. Players can use skills to deal damage, stun enemies, or heal allies. The MP of a hero is limited, and it regenerates over time. Players must use their skills wisely and avoid wasting their MP on unnecessary actions.

Physical Attack

Magic Power

Armor

Magic Resistance

Attack Speed

In Mobile Legends, every hero has a unique set of attributes that defines their strengths and weaknesses. Understanding these attributes is crucial to build a solid strategy for your team. The following sub-sections explain the three main categories of character attributes in Mobile Legends.

Physical Attribute
Physical attributes determine a hero's physical power and effectiveness in close combat. Here are the physical attributes in Mobile Legends:

  • Physical Attack : Determines the amount of physical damage a hero can inflict on enemies.
  • Physical Defense : Determines the amount of physical damage a hero can withstand from enemies.
  • Attack Speed : Determines the speed at which a hero can attack.
  • Critical Strike Chance : Determines the probability of a hero landing a critical hit, which deals extra damage.

Some heroes have higher physical attributes than others, making them more effective in close combat. For example, the hero Alucard has high physical attack and lifesteal, making him a formidable opponent in melee battles.

Magic Attribute
Magic attributes determine a hero's magical power and effectiveness in ranged combat. Here are the magic attributes in Mobile Legends:

  • Magic Power : Determines the amount of magical damage a hero can inflict on enemies.
  • Magic Defense : Determines the amount of magical damage a hero can withstand from enemies.
  • Cooldown Reduction : Determines the reduction in time between a hero's skill usage.
  • Mana Regeneration : Determines the rate at which a hero regenerates mana.

Some heroes have higher magical attributes than others, making them more effective in ranged combat. For example, the hero Eudora has high magic power and crowd control abilities, making her a powerful mage in team fights.

Defense Attribute
Defense attributes determine a hero's overall survivability and resistance to damage. Here are the defense attributes in Mobile Legends:

  • Health Points : Determines the amount of health a hero has.
  • Physical Defense : Determines the amount of physical damage a hero can withstand from enemies.
  • Magic Defense : Determines the amount of magical damage a hero can withstand from enemies.
  • Movement Speed : Determines the speed at which a hero can move.

Some heroes have higher defense attributes than others, making them more durable and harder to kill. For example, the hero Tigreal has high health points and physical defense, making him a tanky hero that can absorb a lot of damage for his team.

Skills, talents, and equipment can all cause damage and there are two types of the damage source: Basic Attack Damage and Skill Damage.
Basic Attack Damage : is the amount of damage a unit takes from a basic attack. Physical damage is the most common type, but there are exceptions. This type of damage can trigger physical lifesteal, magic lifesteal, and attack effects, depending on the damage type.

Skill Damage : is separate from basic attack damage and includes all skills and battle spells that deal magic, physical, or true damage. This type of damage can trigger magic lifesteal, spell vamp, and skill effects, but not from equipment or battle spells.

Damage Types
There are 3 types of damage which are :

  • Physical Damage is reduced by physical defense
  • Magic Damage is reduced by magic defense
  • True Damage is not reduced by anything except damage multipliers.

Physical Damage

Physical damage is caused by basic attacks, skills, equipment, and talents.
Lifesteal and spell vamp are triggered by physical damage from basic attacks and skills.
Physical defense and damage multipliers reduce physical damage, but physical penetration and defense reduction can lower the effectiveness of physical defense.

Magic Damage

  • Mage type heroes use magic skills and attacks to deal magic damage, but they also can use equipment and talents to do this.
  • If magic damage comes from magic skills or basic attacks, it can trigger magic lifesteal.
  • If it only comes from magic skills, it can trigger spell vamp.
  • Magic defense and damage multipliers can reduce magic damage. However, magic penetration and defense reduction can lower the effectiveness of magic defense.

True Damage

  • True damage Ignores any damage reduction effects except the uses of Twilight Armor which its passive reduce true damage above 600.
  • Even if damage reduction effects like physical/magic defense are in place, true damage will stay the same. However, there are ways to counter it. Increasing health can lower the percentage of extra damage dealt by true damage compared to max health.
  • Shields can absorb any damage, including true damage.

Physical Penetration (Physical PEN)
Physical PEN boosts physical damage by ignoring the target's physical defense and can be gained through emblems, items, or hero abilities.

Magic Penetration (Magic PEN)
Magic PEN is a trait that makes magic attacks more powerful by ignoring the target's magic defense. It can be gained through emblems, items, or hero abilities.

HP Regen
HP regen restores HP for a certain time period, depending on its value. It is classified as healing and is greatly influenced by the Healing Received factor, but not by Healing Effect.

Healing Received
When someone gets healing, shield, HP regen, lifesteal or spell vamp, they can also get an attribute called healing received.
Healing received can be changed by using items, spells, or abilities and can be decrease by Healing Reduction factors.

Physical/Magic Lifesteal

  • Lifesteal heals a percentage of damage dealt through basic attacks (depend on skill attribute for physical or magic type hero). Spell vamp is its skill equivalent.
  • Lifesteal begins at 0% and can be raised by emblems, gear, or hero abilities.
  • It only works with basic attacks but can apply on any type of damage.
  • The amount of healing from lifesteal is increased by the amount of healing received by the unit, but not by the unit's healing ability.

Spell Vamp

  • Spell vamp is an attribute that heals a percentage of health when using skills that deal damage.
  • Spell vamp begins at 0% and can be increased by emblems, equipment, or hero skills.
  • It only works with skills but can apply on any type of damage.
  • The amount of healing is multiplied by the unit's healing received, but not by its healing effect.
  • To balance gameplay, some skills have 40% to 100% spell vamp, as the more the skill hits opponents, the less it benefits from spell vamp.
